Several lookout structures have been built on Lookout Butte. The first was a log cabin and crude enclosed wooden tower in 1925, followed by a 50' L-4 tower in 1935. The present 53' treated timber tower with R-6 flat cab was built in 1962, and is currently on the Recreation Rental program.
