MONUMENTAL BUTTE LOOKOUT
R.I.P. 1922-1924; 1925-1969
Established about 1919 with a log cabin which burned in 1921, a 13x13' cab with open roof platform was built in 1922 atop the north butte. It was destroyed by lightning in 1924, and replaced by a cupola cabin on the south butte in 1925. It was destroyed in 1969.
