GARNET MOUNTAIN LOOKOUT
Established with a camp lookout in 1930, the first permanent structure didn't arrive until 1950. The 2-story 9x9' frame cab was moved second-hand to the summit from a Fish & Wildlife observatory on Lincoln Mtn. In 1962, the present 10' concrete base with R-6 flat cab was built. The lookout is now on the Recreation Rental program, and is one of the most popular cabins on the rental system.
