NAPA POINT LOOKOUT
Developed by the Forest Service in 1932 with a 30' wooden live-in tower atop the higher summit (6423'), the Montana DNRC developed their own site after the Forest Service abandoned their lookout. Located 2 miles west of the previous site, at 4448', a school bus with an attached cupola was used from 1969 through 1976, when the present 20' wooden live-in tower was constructed. It is available for emergencies.
