BELL MTN. LOOKOUT
1928: twin 100' spar trees tried together w/ platform on top. 1943: 128' 3-legged steel tower (salvaged from an oil company sign) w/ retractable cab that was lowered to the ground each winter. Severely damaged in 1962 Columbus Day hurricane. 1963: salvaged at 105' and fitted w/ 10x10' cab. Abandoned 1965. Gone 1978.
