ODELL BUTTE LOOKOUT
Developed in 1916 with a 12x12' frame cabin atop a log crib, Odell is one of the longest-active lookouts on the Deschutes. A 20' L-4 tower was built in 1932, replaced by the current 30' treated timber tower with R-6 cab in 1963. Staffed every summer, the tower is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register.
