Developed with a 25' pole L-5 tower in 1934, the present 41' treated timber L-4 tower, built in 1948, was last staffed during the 1998 fire season. It was then placed on the Recreation Rental program, but was staffed again in 2001. It is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register.
