This 28' treated timber tower with L-4 live-in cab, built in 1938, was staffed every season through 1997. It was used only for emergencies in 1998, but was once again staffed 5 days a week during the 1999 fire season, and continues to be staffed in the summer. The tower is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register. |
