GOAT PEAK LOOKOUT
Built in 1950, the present 15' timber L-4 replaced a cupola cabin built in 1923. Goat Peak receives about 1500 visitors each year! Regularly staffed into the 2010s, it was downgraded to emergency status, but has been staffed by a volunteer host in recent years. It is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register. Known lookout personnel: 1923: Ferdinand McRae; 1929: Marian Wright; 1952: Warren Ells; 1959: Alfred Anderson.
