GREEN MOUNTAIN LOOKOUT
Established as a camp in 1919, this L-4 cab, built in 1933, was staffed sporadically into the 1990's. It is listed on the National Historic Lookout Register and the National Register of Historic Places. After a botched attempt to restore the cabin onsite, winter damage necessitated removing the entire structure by helicopter for offsite restoration. There was also a shake cabin added just below in the summit in 1942 which has since been removed.
